I am honored to be a member of the Tapestry Community. I do not take my role as Principal lightly and I am looking forward to leading the Tapestry community with all the great things happening at Tapestry Public Charter School.
I have worked in the capacity of Interrelated Teacher, Exceptional Education Department Chair, Fulbright-Hays Scholar, and Lead Teacher of Special Education. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University, a Master of Education in Middle Grades Mathematics from Mercer University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia.
My husband, Derrick and I are blessed with two beautiful children, Derrick Jr. and Parker. I am passionate about the success of students as much as I am for my own children. I believe in open communication with all stakeholders and that starts with building genuine relationships.
