TITAN Team,

It is with deep gratitude and great excitement that I stand before you today as your new principal. While this new chapter in leadership comes with its own learning curve, I’m reminded that growth is not a destination—it’s a journey. And that journey is powered by a simple but transformational word: YET.

As educators, we know the importance of nurturing our students’ potential. But this year, I want us to also lean into our own. Our theme, “The Power of Yet: Cultivating Growth in All of Us,” isn’t just about what our students can become. It’s about who we are becoming—individually and as a team.

  • A student says, “I can’t solve this problem”—and we say, “You can’t solve it yet.”
  • A teacher thinks, “I haven’t reached that student”—and we believe, “You haven’t reached them yet.”
  • A school wonders, “Are we the best we can be?”—and we answer, “Not yet, but we’re growing.”

This mindset shift allows room for mistakes, reflection, and ultimately, transformation. It challenges us to replace fixed ceilings with open skies. It asks us to lead with courage, to collaborate with humility, and to believe deeply in one another’s capacity to grow.

So I charge you today:

  • To model the power of “yet” in your classrooms, your planning, and your leadership.
  • To see each challenge not as a stop sign, but as a detour to growth.
  • To commit not only to your students’ development, but to your own.

Let’s build a school culture where it’s safe to try, safe to fail, and safe to get better—together. Because if we truly believe in the power of yet, there’s no limit to what this year can become.

We are not there yet—but we will be. Together.

Let’s grow.
