Elle Porter graduated from Georgia College and State University with a degree in Theatre, Sociology and Liberal Studies of culture, religion and society. She also has a Masters of Arts in Teaching. Elle Porter teaches Multicultural Literature, American Literature, Dramatic Writing for TV and Film and Drama. She also serves as the Gifted Liaison and Events Coordinator for Tapestry. She also leads the Thespian society, coaches reading bowl and is the assistant Volleyball coach.
Elle’s lesson focuses on teaching what it means to be human and how we are more similar than different. She chooses texts from a variety of different kinds of authors and regularly uses nontraditional forms of literature in her classes. When Elle is not at school she works as a freelance writer and video editor, and sound and lighting engineer for concerts and plays. She enjoys going to the beach, a good book, and spending time with her family and friends. She loves a good cup of coffee, and as her students know, she can’t teach without it.
