Hi everyone, my name is Kolton Michalek and I am so excited to be the new Drama Teacher here at Tapestry. I am originally from Utah and just moved to Georgia with my wife and our three little boys. I graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelors in Human Development and Family Life Studies and will be graduating in December from Regent University with my Masters In Theatre. For the past 7 years I have had a variety of roles working as a mentor, counselor, coordinator, and teacher working with kids from toddlers to teenagers both on and off the spectrum. I have been a part of multiple theatrical productions and now as a Theatre Teacher I am able to combine my two passions of theatre and working with and helping children.
My main focus as a teacher is on the students. In High School it was theatre that helped me become more confident, believe in myself, and become a people person. I hope to be able to help students in this same way. I can’t wait to get to know, teach, and hopefully inspire your kids throughout this school year!
