Matt Miller grew up in New Jersey and graduated from the New School University in New York City with a BFA in Jazz and Contemporary Music. He moved to Georgia in 2011 and studied at the Townsend School of Music at Mercer University, where he graduated in 2015 with a Master of Music degree. He has taught music at the middle, high school, and college levels.
Matt lives in Midtown with his wife Loretta. In addition to teaching, he performs regularly as a saxophonist and woodwind doubler throughout Atlanta. In addition to music, Matt has worked as a freelance journalist and is also an avid organic gardener. He is thrilled to be working with the amazing staff and students at Tapestry and looks forward to teaching music while learning a great deal from everyone.
