Ms. Jennifer Meyer

My name is Ms. Jennifer Meyer and teach middle school science alongside my co-teacher Ms. Lynae McMurray. I’ve always loved the natural sciences. I grew up playing in the woods, collecting organisms, and generally appreciating what the natural world has to offer. When it came time to continue my education beyond the outdoors I attended the University of Georgia to pursue my love of Biology. I was lucky enough to study medical biochemistry in Cortona, Italy as well as ecology in San Luis, Costa Rica where I earned my ecology minor. These experiences expanded my appreciation outside of textbook science and how it relates to the community.

At the conclusion of my UGA years I earned a BS.Ed. in Secondary Science Education with a specialty in biology and a minor in ecology. Furthermore, I received my secondary science teaching certificate with broad field science and gifted certification in the state of Georgia. I am a Double Dawg and recently I completed my MEd. in Science Education at UGA.

In the past I’ve taught both high school and middle school sciences. Specifically I’ve taught biology, chemistry, physics, forensic science, and all middle school sciences in both public and private school settings.

I am excited to be a part of the Tapestry community and hope to contribute to our overall vision and culture.
