Students received the Tapestry Public Charter School 2022-2023 Student-Parent/Guardian Handbook at school, and it is available online as well.
Students and parents/guardians should sign and return page 37 to school.
The school is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day for students. Student drop-off starts promptly at 8 a.m. and continues until 8:30 a.m. When you pull into the driveway, please drive as far to the end of the driveway as possible before stopping to let your student out.
Early release procedures will end at 3 p.m. each day to allow time to prepare for dismissal.
Dismissal begins at 3:25 p.m. each day and continues until 4 p.m. Please use the school Carpool Tags, or your own sign, with the names & grades of students being picked up by a driver. Place the sign in the front right windshield of the car.
All students not involved in an extracurricular activity need to be picked up by an approved adult prior to 4 p.m.
We ask all parents/guardians to PLEASE fill out the national school lunch program form even if your student will not eat school lunch and/or you do not qualify for free and reduced lunch. Click for the form in English or the form in Spanish. If you do not qualify and do not wish to include income details, just write “Do Not Qualify” on the form. These forms are required of charter schools for funding and statistical purposes.
Tapestry Parent University is a monthly virtual event where we will discuss topics of interest to the Tapestry community.
The theme for each month’s event and the link to join a Google Meet will appear in the school’s newsletter.
Students who walk or ride bikes to school, or who walk to the church parking lot to meet their afternoon carpool, should fill out the Walker/Bike Rider Consent Form and return it to the school.
Students in 10th – 12th grades participate in Academies during fourth block. This format allows students to take a prescribed sequence of courses in the chosen pathway, which will result in recognition for completing that pathway on their diplomas. The Academies of Tapestry are below.
Please see this linked flyer for how to set up your parent Infinite Campus portal. Parents and guardians can create their own accounts to view grades, attendance, schedule, etc. Forgotten usernames and passwords can be retrieved.
If you need assistance or further information, please email Tapestry’s registrar, Amia West, at amia.west@tapestrycharter.org.
Tapestry has an official Remind app account that we use to push out vital information to parents (such as school closures or weather delays). The link to join is www.remind.com/join/tapestrypu. You can also send a text message that says @tapestrypu to the number 81010 for information about how to sign up. This does not replace the PTO Remind classes; it is simply another way to get time-sensitive information out to the whole school community.
Tapestry sends out a weekly newsletter via email to parents and guardians of current students. You may find the newsletter in your spam or junk folder. If you are receiving the newsletter in error, would like to change your contact email, or need to add another parent/guardian, please send an email with relevant information to Tapestry’s registrar, Amia West, at amia.west@tapestrycharter.org.
