Our traditions are the moments our students look forward to all year and the ones they carry with them long after they graduate.

Moments That Matter

Tapestry has built a set of traditions that give the school year shape and meaning. These are the moments our students look forward to and carry with them long after they graduate.

Annual Traditions

  • Decision Day (April/May): We celebrate seniors as they publicly commit to their post-secondary plans, whether that is college, trade school, military service, or other paths. The whole school shows up for this one.
  • Career Day: Students at every grade level hear from professionals across fields, explore career interests, and start building connections between what they learn at school and where it can take them.
  • Titan Challenge Events (twice per semester): STEAM-based challenge events that get students problem-solving, building, competing, and collaborating outside of the regular classroom structure.
  • End of Year Block Party: A community celebration to close out the school year. Students, families, and staff come together to mark what we have accomplished.
  • Senior Celebrations: We honor our graduating seniors with events and recognition throughout their final semester.
  • Sports Banquets: We celebrate our athletes and their seasons at annual banquets that recognize performance, growth, and team spirit.
  • 8th Grade Graduation: We mark the transition from middle school to high school with a ceremony that recognizes the hard work of our 8th graders and sets them up for what is next.

Building New Traditions

Every year, students and staff add to what Tapestry means. Our traditions grow because our community invests in them. If you have an idea for something we should do, talk to the PTO or student government.
