Open to Everyone
Tapestry DeKalb is a tuition-free public charter school authorized by the DeKalb County School District. We serve students in grades 6 through 12. Admission is through an open, random lottery. There are no academic requirements or prerequisites.

Who Is Eligible
Any student residing in the DeKalb County School District in grades 6 through 12 is eligible to apply, subject to lottery and seat availability.
Note: Parts of Atlanta and Decatur are located within DeKalb County but are zoned for Atlanta Public Schools or City of Decatur Schools. If you live in DeKalb County but are zoned for one of those districts, your child is not eligible to attend Tapestry. You must provide proof that you reside within the DeKalb County School District.
The Lottery
The DeKalb lottery is held in February. Families do not need to be present. The lottery is translated into Spanish. Results are communicated within 48 hours via the email and phone number provided on your application.
Current Students
Current Tapestry students do not need to reapply each year. You must sign a Letter of Intent to re-enroll by the posted deadline.
