Where Art Thrives
The arts are central to who Tapestry is. Since our founding, our arts program has been a defining part of our identity and one of the things that makes Tapestry different from a traditional school.
Visual Art
Our visual arts offerings span painting, sculpting, ceramics, printmaking, and casting. Students can go deeper through Art Club, which has produced murals throughout the building. Art is also a dedicated Academy pathway for high school students.
Music
We offer Music Appreciation for all students, along with Beginning Band and Advanced Band. Students perform at school concerts and in the broader community. Music is also offered as an Academy pathway.
Drama and Theater
Our drama program is supported by a dedicated drama teacher and enriched by our partnership with the Alliance Theatre and SENSE Theatre at Vanderbilt University. Students participate in school productions and have access to theater camp and afterschool performance opportunities. Drama is an Academy pathway for high school students
Chorus
Chorus is open to every student who wants to sing. The chorus performs at school and throughout the community and regularly collaborates with other musical groups at Tapestry.
Our Partnerships
Our arts partnerships with the Alliance Theatre, SENSE Theatre (Vanderbilt University), the Atlanta Symphony, and the High Museum significantly expand what we can offer students, both in and out of the classroom.
