Beyond the Assignment

Tapestry students are expected to produce real work, not just complete assignments. We want students to think deeply, make things, and understand why what they are learning matters.

Project-Based Learning

Across our middle and high school programs, project-based learning gives students opportunities to apply what they know to challenges that are relevant and meaningful. Students in our House program work on community-connected projects. High school students build portfolios across their pathway areas. Seniors complete real internships and present their learning publicly.

The Arts as Academic Practice

Our commitment to the arts is not separate from our commitment to academics. Drama teaches students to analyze text, take perspective, and communicate. Music develops discipline and pattern recognition. Visual art builds spatial reasoning and creative problem-solving. Our partnerships with the Alliance Theatre, the High Museum, the Atlanta Symphony, and SENSE Theatre at Vanderbilt University bring these practices to life.

Standards and Rigor

All Tapestry coursework aligns to Georgia Standards of Excellence. Our co-teaching model ensures that differentiation, high expectations, and support exist in the same space. We do not lower the bar for students with learning differences. We build more pathways to reach it.

Student Showcases

Tapestry students share their work with their school community and with the broader public through showcases, performances, exhibits, and community events. Seeing their work matter to a real audience is a powerful motivator for students at every level.
