More than ten years of inclusive education, and we’re just getting started.
Opened in 2014
Tapestry Public Charter School opened in DeKalb County in 2014 with a mission to create an inclusive learning environment for students in grades 6 through 12. The school was designed to support neurodiverse learners and neurotypical students through individualized instruction, strong relationships, and a focus on each student’s strengths.
More Than Ten Years of Impact
What began as a small school with a big idea has grown into a community of students, families, teachers, and supporters who believe in what Tapestry makes possible. Over more than a decade, we have built a track record of academic achievement, a 100 percent graduation rate for our last three graduating classes, and a school culture where students feel known and valued.
We have welcomed families from across DeKalb County, built partnerships with organizations including the Alliance Theatre, the Atlanta Symphony, the High Museum, and SENSE Theatre at Vanderbilt University, and earned recognition as a Title I school supporting students with the greatest economic and educational need.
Expanding to Clayton County
As Tapestry continues to grow, we are expanding our impact by opening a second campus in Clayton County in Fall 2026. Tapestry Clayton brings our inclusive model and student-centered approach to more families, continuing the work that started here in DeKalb.
Two campuses. One mission. Every student belongs.
